The Family Support Program, operated out of our Elkins office, underscores the Centers's philosophy by acknowledging that it is the individual who best knows what is needed to maintain or obtain independence. With this, families are recognized as the experts who know what they need. Families are assisted in decision making versus having decisions made for them. this grant has limited funds available to enable persons with disabilities and/or their family to purchase the resources necessary to remain in his or her own living environment. this may include respite care. Although this is a statewide program, NWVCIL serves only four counties. For more information, contact the Elkins office.
