Mary Slabinski, MSW, LGSW is a Rural Health Program Specialist at the Center for Excellence in Disabilities at West Virginia University.  She travels across West Virginia providing public education and awareness on disabilities and accessibility issues within the agriculture industry.  She also creates curriculum addressing rural health issues and program materials for farm safety and health awareness.  In addition Mary provides technical assistance on accessibility for people with disabilities employed in farming.  Mary was educated at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota and the Center for Wildlife Management and Studies in Nairobi, Kenya.  She holds her masters in social work from West Virginia University.

 

 

Devin Wanner joined the board in September 2010.· Wanner has 19 years of experience in public relations with the federal government.· He has served on the Civil Rights Committee in numerous capacities over the years providing information to employees on accessibility and other issues for people with disabilities.· “I was really thrilled when this opportunity became available,” said Wanner.· “I believe that everyone has the right to fully participate in every aspect of a community.· I am honored to serve on the board, and to help people realize their goal of living independently.”
