Fair Housing
Fair Housing prohibits discrimination in the sale rental and financing of housing based on these protected classes: race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, or disability.
If you feel your rights have been violated call Claire at 1-800-834-6408.
Reasonable Accommodations- You have the right to request a reasonable accommodation to allow you full use and enjoyment of a dwelling. A reasonable accommodation is a change to a policy or practice. For example:
- A service animal to be allowed in a building with a “no pets” policy
- A reserved accessible parking space at an apartment that has first come first served parking
Reasonable Modifications- You have the right to request permission to modify your unit or the common use areas to allow you equal use of it. For example:
- Installing a wheelchair ramp at an entrance with several steps
- Installing grab bars in a bathroom
- Installing a stair lift in a two story townhouse
If you need assistance making a request for a reasonable accommodation or modification, please call Claire at 1-800-834-6408.
Design and Construction- All new multifamily housing (4 or more units) built after March 13, 1991 is required to follow certain accessibility requirements. If you have tried to rent somewhere and have not been able to get into the building or units because they were not accessible, please call us!
